About Ben

Hi there!
I’m Ben, a Senior UX Designer based in South London. I’ve been working within the digital landscape across different industries for 10 years.
Currently, I am a Senior UX Designer at Cohaesus working across several clients such as Battersea Dogs and Cats Home, National Grid and the British Business Bank.
Prior to Cohaesus, I was a freelancer having left my permanent role as Senior UX Architect at Spark 44 in June 2019, because I wanted to broaden my experiences in different teams and agencies as well as working with a different products, clients and industries.
Since becoming a UX Designer in 2011, I’ve enjoyed creating positive user experiences wherever I’ve worked, from large international pharmaceutical companies and car manufacturers to global agencies.
I attribute my success to wanting to keep learning something new and maintaining my childhood fascination of making things, understanding how things work and how they help people.

When Not In Work
I grew up in the Yorkshire Dales as a kid, so I love getting out of London as much as possible, even though it’s only the Garden of England and not God’s Own County.
With all this food and drink to need to try and keep myself fit. When I’m not playing Touch Rugby, I go to my local Parkrun. During the summer I like to play Cricket, Softball and Dodgeball. Recently I completed my first practice triathlon.
One of my biggest passions is food. I love cooking, especially on my smokers where I can cook low n’ slow. Wherever we travel, I also look out for the nearest joint serving local BBQ.
I enjoy a beer or two, especially craft beer. When the weathers right, I like to brew my own beer for friends and family.
I enjoy being creative. As much as I like creating digital experiences, it’s nice to create something physical and with my bare hands.
For the last five years, I’ve been running out for my Touch Rugby team No Woman, No Try. When I’m not playing Touch, I’m watching as much 15 aside as I can, whether it’s travelling to grounds across the country or on TV.
